With the nights really starting to draw in, the clocks will go back on the 26th of the month, we will be getting much less time to spend outside in the garden in daylight hours. I’ve spent a lot of time in recent weeks preparing for the winter. You can see me pictured in my greenhouse, which is now full to the brim of delicate plants and many succulents, safely tucked up for the winter. It’s only in the last couple of weeks though that I have had to turn the heater on at night, to ensure temperatures don’t drop below 7 or 8 degrees. There will still be days when I can open the door, during the day, to keep air circulating in there as well.
