Councillors have welcomed the prospect of tighter rules on short-term holiday lets – commonly known as Airbnbs after the market leading operator.
The Environment Agency is investigating after an electrical fault occurred at Southern Water’s Eastbourne Wastewater Treatment Works late on August 31.
The incident occurred on the A23 near Bolney at about 8:40am on September 7 and involved a BMW car and a motorcycle on the slip road of the northbound carriageway.
Muhammad Saeed, 20, entered the Shell petrol station on London Road, Burgess Hill, at about 10pm on December 15 last year.
The issue, which was identified on Tuesday afternoon (September 8), saw thousands of passengers unable to depart from the transport hub for several hours.
The service is due to begin in December 2026 and will operate as a pilot, with one morning train to London and one evening return service on weekdays.
